About Me

Welcome to Love Your Skin Beautiful! My name is Ashley, a college student with a passion for sharing all the skin-beautifying knowledge that I learn each day. I desire to help reveal the clear, gorgeous skin in everybody at any age and any stage!

I’ve spent the past few years researching hundreds of skin disorders, studying aging prevention and remedies, creating my own natural vitamin-based products, and personally testing product after product in the stores. I have a lot to share with you about what really works- the results may surprise you!

My goal is to master the art of a healthy and beautiful complexion, as I have seen great results with my own skin and have successfully done the same for many others — but my hope is to empower and inspire everyone to discover and embrace the natural beauty inside each person that lies just beneath the surface, and show that true beauty is so much deeper than “skin deep.”

So let’s stop “covering-up,” and let’s show off the gorgeous skin that’s waiting to be uncovered!

Much love,

Hi Ashley! I happen to come upon your lovely blog, and I love it! You have very good DIYs, and I will be trying out the makeup remover soon! I read that you’re on your way to medical school? I am currently a sophomore, and wanted to know what your experience is in getting into medical school? I am sorry this is so random, I’m just really interested because I would like to go to medical school, but I am not sure. thanks!

Hi Janie! Your and my experience are probably very similar because I haven’t gotten into medical school yet, as I’m still an undergraduate. :) What I have heard is that having a competitive GPA of over 3.5 is highly recommended, and doing extremely well on the MCAT/GRE entrance exam is key for most schools. I highly suggest taking some practice MCAT/GRE/other exams from http://www.princetonreview.com. Also, I know that having 100+ hours of shadowing a doctor is key for easier entrance. Best of luck to you Janie, you’ll do great! :)

I’m enjoying your blog, Ashley, and I’m so proud of you! I remember marveling at your beautiful skin (and your foot-long eyelashes!) when you were in my class. I always assumed your skin was so pretty because you were as pretty on the inside as you were on the outside. Kind-hearted people just kind of glow like that. :)

So helpful! My lips have been SO dry because of this weather, and your sugar paste worked miraculously! Can’t wait to read more posts and tips you have in store. :)

Will you be posting anything about how to get rid of acne? It would be so awesome. I dream of the day that I have smooth skin. Lovin’ the blog! Thanks!

LOVE! Thanks so much for this post and your past advice on my skin!!! I started using the cetaphil like you recommended and my face is clearing up!! Thanks girl! Also–I would love to hear what your thoughts are on nutrition and your skin…does diet really make any difference in acne? I have a friend who did the paleo diet for her skin with no results she said…just curious if you’ve heard/seen anything. Thanks again and love the blog!
